Review of Loki: Who’s the big bad at the end?

Here’s the story, in the fifth episode of Loki, I mentioned the possibility that the villain behind the scenes could be Kang the Conqueror or Loki, but there was supposed to be only one villain in the first season so that it would be better to wrap things up. But what if…

As we all know, Conqueror Kang has different identities at different points in time. Last issue I talked about how if the villain was another variant of Loki, that Loki would be ambitious, intelligent, powerful and clever, which means that this variant of Loki’s variant genes could be related to Conqueror Kang, so the villain would fit Conqueror Kang and fit Loki’s conjecture, so wouldn’t it be nice to have two in one?

This Conqueror Con version of variant Loki, perhaps he created the TVA, or he brainwashed the previously good TVA, both with the aim of allowing the villainous variant Loki to better dominate a single timeline so he could complete his glorious mission. If the villain were set up that way, it would have the feel of making everyone feel guessed and unguessed, and not intentionally playing the audience for surprises.

But if it’s set up that way, what about Ant-Man 3’s Conqueror Kang, where does that villainous character’s image lose face.

So maybe it’s not that simple, as we look at some of the over-interpreted details of episode 5. Firstly there’s the female judge, the old riddler, who, when being forced to confess her by Silver, says she’s a victim too and wants to know who’s behind it and wants to work with Silver to find the real killer.

But then it became clear that she was just stalling for time, but when it came time to force B-15 to question her, it turned out that the lady judge really wanted to find out who was behind it, and instructed Miss Time to look through the information to find out, which is inconsistent, so do you know or don’t you know who is behind it?

I don’t think it should be a comic book writer’s fault for shaping the character, there is only one reason behind that. Unless …. Sylvie and the female judge are not talking about the same person. Let’s think outside the atmosphere, fly out of the solar system and escape the galactic brain for a second, is it possible that the female judge was originally the one who knew who the mastermind was and was aware of the mastermind’s plan, but it turned out that things went differently than she thought, which led to the female judge only to find out that there was someone else behind the scenes that was fueling Loki and Sylvie to keep going closer to the truth.

Why I feel this way, apart from the baffling schizophrenic words of the female Judge Riddler, is that when Loki and Sylvie open that mysterious space at the end of the film and see the castle, they are not attacked by any castle defenses, the image looks like the owner of this castle is waiting for Loki and Sylvie to arrive. This man could be the Conqueror Con version of Loki, and the real villain, another Conqueror Con. In the comics, Conqueror Con from different points in time, sometimes fight together and become antagonists because of some interests and purposes.

Then the next is the plot line of the duel in episode 6 of My Brain. Long, long ago, the real villain Conqueror Con ruled a single timeline at the end of time, but then a Conqueror Con version of Loki appeared to challenge Conqueror Con. In the fight between the two, because of their equal abilities who could not destroy anyone, Conqueror Con had to lock up the Conqueror Con version of Loki in this mysterious prison castle.

And the space where this prison castle is located is the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man. Since then, Conqueror Con has had to take on the important task of hunting down any version of the variant Loki, while the Conqueror Con version of Loki in the mysterious castle has been looking for an opportunity to go and form his own Loki team to take out the ultimate villain.

The Loki King in the trailer may be the same Conqueror Con Loki, and that footage may be a flashback sequence. Or maybe King Loki is the current protagonist, Loki, who gains some sort of mystical power in the final episode and becomes King Loki. The reason I’m thinking this is because I think if the real villain is Conqueror Con, then Loki and Sylvie’s would have to fight a villain of that magnitude, and wouldn’t that be a repeat of Ant-Man 3 with another Conqueror Con appearance.

So this set up would be good to give Ant-Man 3 the time to actually feature Kang the Conqueror, as well as set up some of the second season that Loki will most likely be in, and the Marvel Universe could be tied together, with Doctor Strange 2, the second season of Wanda Vision (if there is one), and the next What If all tied together. So the season 1 finale fighting the villain could have beaten but not quite killed, won but not quite won, and the ending or ending egg would have left a giant hole. Then the villain that really gets beaten up in episode 6 would be like beating up a secondary villain like the female judge, or Miss Time.

Yes! It doesn’t matter if we’re getting to the last episode of face-punching, since we’re talking about it so much we’ll just pretend it’s a Nexus event branching out of the Rocky movie series and just have fun watching it!
