Extraction review: full of shoot-outs and melee scenes

This restricted action plasma film, in fact, was originally intended to be a comedy film said, after all, starring Hammer in the film and television industry half of the play, is not all to the harmonic temperament fit.

What Extraction ends up presenting to audiences is the serious action thriller we now see, filled with plenty of gunplay and physical combat scenes, with pain visible to the naked eye and matching blood loops, as well as a sense of urgency created by the action pacing that allows you to really immerse yourself in the rescue action at certain points.

Why only at certain points, when the writing is so dry, even watered down, that I find it hard to imagine this being Joe Russell’s script. I find it hard to believe that this is Joe Russell’s script as a screenwriter. I can’t believe this is Joe Russell’s screenplay. It’s really interesting to see how watered down the script is without Joe Russell’s brother Anthony Russell’s ensemble.

The two of them have written some of the strongest episodes of Team America 2 and 3. In order to give a more in-depth explanation of Extraction, let’s start with a spoiler review of the film, and rest assured that the plot of this film will not affect the viewing experience at all, even if you listen to it all.

The story’s source dispute occurred in India and Bangladesh between two major drug lords black eat black, but their road is also no way, the Bangladeshi boss to the Indian boss’s son Ovi to kidnap, and at this time the Indian boss in prison squatting in jail, can only be assigned and threaten their own military division to find a way to save their son back, or the drug lord will kill the military division family, what brain circuit threat logic, the bad guys really bad good thorough.

So, with no money and wanting to do something big, Armsmaster and the Indian drug lord pay a deposit to hire Thor Taylor’s team of mercenaries (not that Taylor you know) to go and rescue Ovi, and this rescue starts well, with Taylor working with the team to quickly rescue Ovi from a group of small hooded dens.

But just as they are about to board the boat, the boat is raided, and at this point the mastermind himself, single-handedly, tries to rob Ovie halfway and cut him off from Taylor, but of course the tricked Taylor team is not going to give up, so Taylor takes Ovie against this double-sided attack by the mob’s military and the mastermind.

The action-packed escape sequence, a 10-minute long sequence, is the highlight of the film. After escaping the first stage of the chase, Taylor and the gang contact David, their best friend from the Oddities police to the Red Guardian, for temporary shelter, but it doesn’t last long, as the two chatter away about their family life and David confesses that he is on the side of the Bengali drug lords and wants to take out Ovi and split the money. Taylor, of course, refuses, and as the two scuffle, Ovi picks up his own gun and takes out David.

So Taylor and Ovie continue to run. The reason is because Ovie is too cute? No, it’s because Tyler had a son who died of a terminal illness and Tyler wants to complete a redemption.

Forced to be on all sides of the situation, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, Taylor has no choice but to contact Armsmaster and ask him to take Ovi away while he opens the way for them to burst through. Another firefight ensued, with the battlefield splitting into a battle for Armsmaster’s bridgehead and a breakout battle for Taylor’s building, during which Taylor’s team sent helicopter reinforcements.

In the end, Armsmaster was outnumbered and blew his head off his leash, while Taylor broke out and went to the bridge, ready to meet up with his team and Ovi. Sadly, however, Taylor does not make it out and is shot in the neck and falls into the river which has an internal smell. The ending ends with the big sister of the mercenaries taking out the Bengali drug lord and helping Tyler get his revenge and Ovi going back to school.

The final image of the film, Ovie swimming out of the water hibiscus when, in a trance, saw the figure of Taylor, which is also enough chicken thieves set, Taylor in the end did not hang up, the sequel to be shot, these are waiting for the future of the film in all aspects of the data good to say, first leave a terrain not to cover the coffin, all things are good to discuss.

Extraction” is a film that clearly belongs to the long and short of the movie, but still has a lot to offer in terms of action sequences, after all, the director is Sam Hargrave, the director of the action director of the reunion series. The director is Sam Hargrave, so in terms of strong action sequences, Sam showed the motivation to keep me watching the film, and of course another motivation to keep watching is the main character, Thor Hammer.

In the film, Hammer unleashes his entire body, and it is clear that he has done a lot of professional action training beforehand, especially in the scene where Hammer and Armsmaster fight each other with knives in the street, and the action in One Shot, which does not rely on editing to complete the series of fights, all of which shows that Hammer has really put a lot of thought into the action fights.

One-shot sequences are not new in cinema nowadays, as 1917 was a one-shot movie. Extraction’s one-shot sequences are a refreshing take on the action sequences, from the streets to the floors and houses to the car chases, which give you the illusion of playing an action-packed shoot-em-up game. In addition to the action sequences, the dueling scenes, which are set in Bangladesh, also add to the sense of wonder, such as the dirty neighbourhoods, the hot and cold weapons, Hammer in full force, and the gruesome firefights.

When I saw the shootout scenes where Hammer took down his opponent with a shot to the chest and a shot to the head, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Keanu’s “Fast and Furious” series, which seems to have a fast, accurate and ruthless no-nonsense approach that many action shootout scenes have learned from since.

But apart from the action sequences, Extraction can really be said to be… It’s a muddled mess. The film’s plot trope is particularly old school, another ex-soldier with a broken heart and a bad-good-guy image who ends up on a mission to save a child no matter the cost.

I know Hammer plays his part hard, but the interspersing of these literary scenes at various points in the film does not serve to soothe the tense pace and expand the characters to make them more three-dimensional, but rather brings the film to a drag and even has several cold scenes.

The film is an obvious target, and for those who like action and gunplay, and who like Hammer, it’s worth watching Extraction, but then again, with no more blockbusters, it’s rare for Netflix to come out with a commercial action film that’s close to the theatrical level, so there’s not much choice if you want to see a new film.
